Father Thomas Dignan (1930-2017)
We wish to honor one of Saint Jude Shrine’s beloved priests, Father Thomas Dignan.
Father Dignan was an avid woodworking and machine tool enthusiast and greatly contributed to many of the restoration projects at Saint Jude Shrine. Father gained substantial hands-on experience while growing up on a farm years before he entered the seminary. In 2013, he helped fabricate four large steel plates to reinforce the structural roof trusses in our church that had been severely compromised by air-conditioning installers decades earlier.
A very pious and learned priest, his dedication to Saint Jude’s and apostolic zeal is worthy of remembrance. Please pray for the repose of the soul of this holy priest of God, who labored for others until he died.
