The Family Rosary Crusade at Saint Jude Shrine

Background

The Family Rosary Crusade is a devotion that has been familiar to many Catholics and Catholic organizations over the years. It has been a powerful means by which the faithful and groups of faithful have petitioned Heaven for very specific needs and intentions. With the blessing of her image after Mass by Father José DePineda on 1 October 1995, during the month of the Holy Rosary, the crusade was formally introduced to our association of families at Saint Jude Shrine.

Purpose

The focal point of the Family Rosary Crusade is the image well known to many as the Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima. In 1995, Saint Jude's obtained a special statue, made in Portugal, of Our Lady, for this purpose. She is a guest in the home of each of the participating families for one week at a time, departing from Saint Jude Shrine with them on Sunday, and returning there the following Sunday to be taken by the next family. The intentions of the Saint Jude Shrine Family Rosary Crusade are: for the freedom and exaltation of the true Pope, the triumphant restoration of the universal Church, the continuation of Mass at Saint Jude Shrine for the duration of the Church's exile, the spiritual and physical protection of all those associated with Saint Jude's during the present time of darkness, and, of course, the special requests of each participating family.

Several prayers, taken from ecclesiastically approved sources, have been assembled into a booklet for the crusade and are recommended as a supplement to the Rosary itself, because of their pertinence to the intentions mentioned above. A sign-up sheet will be posted after Mass where all interested families may reserve a time for Our Lady's visit to their home. It is hoped that all the families of Saint Jude's will avail themselves of the opportunity to join the Family Rosary Crusade and receive the blessings that will inevitably follow.

The end of the month of October 2015, marked the 40th Anniversary of the rescue of Saint Jude Shrine from the false, conciliar church. May this outpost for the true faith, through the prayers of our priests and people, with Our Lady's intervention, be able to continue its mission until the final, worldwide victory of the Catholic Church.

The Family Rosary Crusade at Saint Jude Shrine Prayers

FOR THE CRUSADE OF THE FAMILY ROSARY

O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, with hearts full of confidence we earnestly beseech thee to bless the Crusade of the Family Rosary. From thee came the grace to begin it. From thee must come the grace to win souls to it. We beg thee to bless this Crusade so that from every home the incense of this prayer will daily rise before thee, O admirable Mother.

O Queen of Homes, by the power of the Rosary we beseech thee to embrace all the members of our family in the love of thy Immaculate Heart. May thou abide with us and we with thee, praying to thee while thou prayest for us. May thou preside in our homes as once thou didst at Nazareth with Jesus and Joseph, filling them with the holiness of

thy presence and inspiration.

O Queen of Peace, it is thou who has placed the Rosary in our hands. It is thou who bids us to recite it daily. By the power of the Family Rosary we beseech thee to obtain peace for us, peace within our hearts, our homes, our country, and throughout the world. Through the daily recitation of the Family Rosary we beg thee to keep sin from our souls, enmities from our hearts, and war from our shores.

By the graces received from the devotion of the Family Rosary we pray to be made helpful to one another in following the paths of virtue so that we may be found worthy to be called children of thy family, children of thy home. Amen. (398)

Act of Consecration

O Mary, Virgin and most powerful Mother of Mercy, Queen of heaven and Refuge of sinners, we consecrate ourselves today to thine Immaculate Heart.

We consecrate to thee our very being and our whole life, all that we have, all that we love, all that we are. To thee we give our bodies, our hearts and souls, to thee we give our homes, our families and our country.

Mindful of this consecration we now promise to imitate thee by the Christian virtues without regard for human respect.

We resolve to receive Holy Communion on the first Satürday of every month when possible and to offer daily five decades of the Rosary with all our sacrifices in the spirit of penance and reparation.

Imprimatur: Samuel Cardinal Stritch, Archbishop of Chicago, May 10, 1954.

THE SALVE REGINA

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, hail our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve! To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears! Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us; and after this, our exile. Show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus! O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be worthy of the promises of Christ.

Indulgence of 5 years (332)

TO OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE

Our Lady of Guadalupe, mystical rose, make intercession for Holy Church, protect the Sovereign Pontiff, help all those who invoke thee in their necessities, and since thou art the ever Virgin Mary and Mother of the true God, obtain for us from thy most holy Son the grace of keeping our faith, sweet hope in the midst of the bitterness of life, burning charity, and the precious gift of final perseverance. Amen.

Indulgence of 500 days. (424)

TO THE MOTHER OF SORROWS

Most Holy Virgin and Mother, whose soul was pierced by a sword of sorrow in the Passion of thy divine Son, and who in His glorious Resurrection was filled with never-ending joy at this triumph; obtain for us who call upon thee, so to be partakers in the adversities of Holy Church and the sorrow of the Sovereign Pontiff, as to be found worthy to rejoice with them in the consolations for which we pray, in the charity and peace of the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Indulgence of 500 days. (385)

PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH PATRON OF THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH

O Most powerful patriarch, St. Joseph, patron of that universal Church, which has always invoked thee in anxieties and tribulations; from the lofty seat of thy glory, lovingly regard the Catholic world. Let it move thy paternal heart to see the mystical spouse of Christ and his vicar weakened by sorrow and persecuted by powerful enemies. We beseech thee, by the most bitter suffering thou didst experience on earth, to wipe away in mercy the tears of the revered pontiff, to defend and liberate him, and to intercede with the Giver of peace and charity, that every hostile power being overcome and every error being destroyed, the whole Church may serve the God of all blessings in perfect liberty. Amen.

Imprimatur: Patrick Cardinal Hayes, Archbishop of New York, February 16, 1937

PRAYER OF THE VIRGIN

(Remedy against the "spirits of darkness" and the forces of hatred and fear.)

Majestic Queen of heaven and Mistress of the Angels, Thou didst receive from God the power and commission to crush the head of Satan; wherefore we humbly beseech thee to send forth the legions of heaven, that, under thy command, they may seek out all evil spirits, engage them in battle, curb their insolence, and hurl them back into the pit of hell.

Who is like unto God?

O good and tender Mother, thou shalt ever be our hope and the object of our love.

O Mother of God, send forth the holy angels to defend me and drive far from me the cruel foe.

Holy Angels and Archangels defend us and keep us. (345)

PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

O GLORIOUS Archangel St. Michael, Prince of heavenly host, be our defense in the terrible warfare which we carry on against principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, spirits of evil. Come to the aid of man, whom GOD created immortal, made in his own image and likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil. Fight this day the battle of the LORD, together with the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless to resist thee, nor was there place for them any longer in Heaven. That cruel, ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan, who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with his angels. Behold, this primeval enemy and slayer of men has taken courage. Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the name of GOD and of his CHRIST to seize upon, slay and cast into eternal perdition souls destined for the crown of eternal glory. This wicked dragon pours out, as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity. These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered. Arise then O invincible Prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of GOD, and give them the victory. They venerate thee as their protector and patron; in thee holy Church glories as her defense against the malicious power of hell; to thee has GOD entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly beatitude. Oh, pray to the GOD of peace that He may put Satan under our feet, so far conquered that he may no longer be able to hold men in captivity and harm the Church. Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that they may quickly conciliate the mercies of the LORD; and beating down the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, do thou again make him captive in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations. Amen.

V. Behold the Cross of the LORD; be scattered ye hostile powers.

R. The Lion of the tribe of Juda, the root of David, has conquered;.

V. Let thy mercies be upon us, O LORD.

R. As we have hoped in thee.

V. LORD, hear my prayer.

R. And let my cry come unto thee.

Let us pray

O GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, we call upon thy holy name, and as

suppliants we implore thy clemency, that by the intercession of Mary, ever Virgin immaculate

and our Mother, and of the glorious Archangel St Michael, thou wouldst deign to help us against

Satan and all other unclean spirits, who wander about the world for the injury of the human race

and the ruin of souls. Amen.

#407 “Prayer to St. Michael,” The Raccolta, 1930; Benziger Brothers, pages 314, 315.  His Holiness, Leo XIII, in his Motu propio of 25 September 1888, granted the faithful who recite the above prayer an indulgence of three hundred days, once a day.

End.

Repeat the above prayers daily for one week for the intentions of this Rosary Crusade.
